Stocks have had a pretty steady week. Europe Indices proved to be the strongest with gains of around 1.3% across the board. In the US the S&P was up 0.71% and Asian stocks also all making gains of a little over 0.5%.
It’s no surprise that on the back of this, the stock pickers, and the long players came out on top this week. With around 50% of the strategies on the Platform now having gone short, it will be interesting to see what happens next. Could prices now be a little inflated? Or will we see more money moving into the equity market? It’s hard to call.
This week we’ve had good performances from
Cambridge Futures: 1.1%
American Research House: 1.9%
Value Driven Growth: 2.5%
But out on top with an impressive 4% gain on their portfolio, was Futures Diversified. They were long the US market most of the week and are now positive by 9.8% on the month. If you don’t have any US exposure, the top 3 this week could well be worth having a look at. Value Driven Growth is a relatively low risk strategy that will predominantly track the market with a small number of carefully selected stocks.
Well done to these 4 teams for making gains when many are thinking that stocks are starting to look expensive. Next week will be an interesting one on the Platform that’s for sure.
